Do you feel your life is out of balance or continually time pressured? This course shows you how to improve your productivity through better time management. You will examine the way work and learn ways to translate your vision into long-term objectives and short-term goals. You will return to work with a suite of effective time management techniques and a more balanced and productive work life. Courses run in Sydney and Melbourne.

Before the course

Want to get the most out of this experience? To prepare for your Time Management course, please:

  • Gather feedback regarding how you currently manage your time. Ask 2 colleagues or customers to complete the time management survey. (It should take 5-10 minutes to complete).
  • Complete a Time Log for 3-5 typical work days. We will use this to analyse how you currently spend your time. Make a note of every single thing you do through the day. We promise it is worth the effort!
  • Examine the "big picture" of your life and identify your key values and what is really important to you in life. If you have written long-term goals, bring these along with you.

2 weeks after the course

Take time to revisit your action plan, written during the course, and your course workbook.

You might want to review some key concepts from the course, and complete these activities:

  • Use the prioritising matrix every day for 2 weeks to get in the habit of prioritising activities correctly.

4 weeks after the course

These activities can assist you in enhancing your time management skills:

  • Review how you are managing your time by completing the time log for the next 3 days. Evaluate:
    • Have you been spending your time wisely?
    • What has improved?
    • Where could you "find" more time?
  • Write SMART goals for the next month and for the next 6 months.
