It’s time to refresh your skills and step up in to the future of learning!  We certainly don’t want to be seen by our organisation as the training ‘dinosaurs’ who don’t deliver business results.

How can we help you?

By attending the MCI Trainer Academy, you have the opportunity to build and enhance your skills sets in a whole range of different contexts:

  • If you need to present information, let us help you to design the presentation according to best practice principles so that your main points are understood and heard by the audience.
  • If you need to facilitate meetings or kick off projects, your facilitation skills are more important than ever and how you manage the process is critical to the final outcome.
  • If you need to design sessions and programs, learn more about creative, out-of-the-box training techniques that provide participants with an experience that drives their awareness and is solidified finally with theory.

MCI Trainer Academy offers a wide range of programs

The Academy provides practical programs for all levels of entry and the table below illustrates the exciting and diverse range of programs that you can choose from.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116

TAE40116 is the nationally recognised foundation qualification for trainers and assessors. It incorporates the 3 key elements of training:  design, delivery and assessment.  This is an interactive program with lots of practical hands-on activities to reinforce the learning and build your skills as a workplace trainer and assessor.

If you hold the TAE40110 and are currently working as a trainer and assessor, you may be eligible to upgrade your qualification.  We offer a number of programs that address the new requirements of the TAE40116.

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Methodology Facilitator Program

LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is an internationally-renowned facilitated process used by organisations to engage participants to generate innovative ideas for organisational improvement. The methodology is based on extensive research and enables teams to address complex issues in an engaging way.

Facilitators, trainers, educators, HR professionals, project managers and strategists can be trained as Certified Serious Play™ facilitators to implement the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® process in the work that they do. Additionally, if you work as a researcher, I.T. professional, executive/life coach or leader in your organisation, your certification as a Serious Play™ facilitator can bring enormous benefits and is a strong addition to your toolkit of techniques.

Diploma of Training, Design and Development TAE50216

Are you an experienced trainer who would like to go beyond the limits of the Cert IV and step up into completing your Diploma?

Take your skills to the next level by implementing tools and techniques to ensure that your sessions rock. Get to grips with the full training cycle to ensure your training has a measurable impact. This blended program is a great mix of face-to-face delivery, evidence collection, and additional learning via the MCI eCampus.

Presentation Skills

The ability to present information so that it is memorable and professional is a vital skill for managers, trainers and specialists.  Learn new methods for producing content and slides for your next presentation and learn to approach presentations as an effective communication medium.

Connect with your audience and meet their needs so that the presentation format and structure is meaningful to them.  Put into practice and receive feedback on your skills and develop confidence to convey even complex information so that your audience listens and hears what you have to say!

Train the Trainer

Training is all about creating an experience for participants so that they can become more aware and apply what they have learnt into the workplace.  In this way, learning brings a strong ROI to the business and people have the confidence to improve on their current levels of competence.

Learn how to structure sessions, deliver them with impact and conduct some post-course assessment.  Integrate interactive activities into sessions to ensure that the session moves beyond information download and becomes part of a strong learning environment.

Advanced Facilitation Skills Powered by Gamestorming

Do you find company meetings, workshops and seminars to be boring? Bring them to life with some new techniques to engage your staff. Design and deliver workshops, seminars, company meetings and facilitated processes according to Gamestorming methodologies.

This cutting edge process will enhance the way in which you generate ideas and align your team. Gamestorming provides a different perspective on how to reach set outcomes at the end of a session. It ensures that you work towards solving complex problems through collaborative ways of engaging groups and there is substantial theory that backs up this highly effective way of generating breakthrough results.

Who should participate?

The Academy caters for designers, trainers, facilitators, presenters and managers who need to create positive learning environments where participants acquire new skills or engage with content to move the organisation or the team forward.

Many organisations find that when participants return to work they do not have the confidence to apply skills or they do not in fact recall the key messages of the learning event.  If we consider that over 90% of learning happens on the job, the need to ensure that face to face sessions are effective in delivering change becomes more important than ever.
